8 Hair Masks You Need to Try

If you’re curious about hair masks, but don’t know where to start, here are eight hair masks worth trying out. 1. Coconut and banana hair mask

Mix it up until it’s well blended, then apply all over your hair (allowing it to sit for at least 20 minutes before rinsing). Egg whites are full of protein and potassium, which help thicken and strengthen your hair follicles.

6. Coconut yogurt mask

Coconut milk yogurt makes for a great hair mask for your roots. It’s rich in protein and contains lauric acid, which helps repair damaged hair by encouraging new growth. Mix two tablespoons of coconut milk yogurt with three tablespoons of coconut oil and apply to your scalp for 20 minutes before rinsing out with shampoo.

Eggs are full of protein and amino acids, which help to nourish your hair, while lemons are packed with vitamin C and alpha-hydroxy acids that have purifying benefits. Combine these two ingredients for a simple, natural way to add shine and fight dandruff. Simply mix one egg yolk with half a cup of fresh lemon juice. Massage into your scalp for five minutes; allow it to sit for 20 more before rinsing out with water (gently press on your forehead when doing so).
