Celebrities with Bunions

The word bunion makes most people cringe, but even though it’s common, it often goes unnoticed and untreated. A bunion occurs when your big toe pushes out of alignment with the rest of your toes, resulting in a bump on the side of your foot that can cause pain and discomfort. While bunions are hereditary, obesity and high-heeled shoes increase the likelihood that you’ll develop one – so if you suffer from one now, you may have been more prone to getting one if you were famous before!

Kim Kardashian

Popular TV personality and celebrity Kim Kardashian is another big name who has publicly been seen in pictures or videos featuring her bunions. It isn’t uncommon for a person to go unnoticed until they move onto the next level of their profession and become more of a celebrity figure, at which point their quirks can no longer be ignored.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, was interviewed on This Morning recently in England. Known for her Bootylicious figure, Posh Spice is also famous for being outspoken and bold. Janet Jackson

In 2005, Jackson was diagnosed with a bunion on her left foot. She was advised to stop wearing high heels as the problem worsened. Despite this, she continued to wear them and, in 2009, underwent surgery to remove fluid from the bunion after an infection had developed. Her recovery time took months.

Kylie Jenner

She said to wear flats every day if you have any little toes!!

She wrote a song called Why Can’t I Touch It to express her pain and frustration, saying I have to bear it. And indeed, she does, proving that bunions aren’t always a disqualifying factor in a person’s life.

Kelly Osbourne

At number eight, Kelly Osbourne seems to be coping well, but her bunions are prominent. They are swollen and red, and she is wearing socks that cover the front of her feet. This is in contrast to what appears to be an intentional stance, where she is standing on only one foot while balancing on a board above water to hide her bunions.

Paula Abdul

Best known for her starring role on American Idol, Paula Abdul has had a successful music career and is often spotted at celebrity sporting events. A popular misconception is that the pop star’s belly button jewelry was inspired by Janet Jackson’s 1992 album Janet, which she supposedly made after MTV banned the singer’s clip of breastfeeding her infant son. These rumors are, of course, untrue and have been popular rumors since the mid-1990s.

Final Thoughts

It may seem odd to see celebrities with bunions, but they are surprisingly common. However, the type of celebrity more likely to have a bunion spends a lot of time on their feet. Wearing tight shoes and sitting in chairs too much can also lead to bunions, so taking care of your feet is important!
